Scoreboard on a television

The scoreboard runs on a television or display next to the table, so players and spectators can see the score at a glance.

The screen is built to be readable from a distance: large numbers, clear names and calm colours. Nobody has to squint at a small display to see how the match is going.

Central management of settings

Matches, players and settings are managed in one place: the TargaScore admin portal.

What you set in the admin portal appears on the scoreboard in the room. You do not need to stand next to the device to change anything.

Set up a match in a few steps

Choose the players, the game type and the number of points to reach, and the match can begin.

Setting up is deliberately short: most matches start with just a few choices. Recurring settings do not have to be entered again every time.

Operation anyone can follow

Keeping score should work for someone using the scoreboard for the first time.

Volunteers and guest players change; the way it is operated does not. The actions you need most often come first, and a wrong entry is easy to undo.

Manage players and participants

Record players once and select them for every match afterwards.

Names always appear correctly on the screen and nothing has to be typed again for the next match.

Competities en toernooien

Set partijen op vanuit de wedstrijdkamer of direct op het scorebord zelf.

Partijen worden direct na afloop opgeslagen in het competitie-programma.

Look back at results

Matches that have been played are kept, so results can be checked later.

Useful for a league table, for club administration, or simply to go through a match again.

Presentation in the room

A calm, readable screen that suits the look of a billiards room.

The scoreboard is meant to stay on for hours. That is why the display is kept calm, without unnecessary movement or harsh colours.

Locaties met meer dan één biljarttafel kunnen per tafel een eigen scorebord gebruiken.

Ongoing development and updates

TargaScore is being developed further; new versions are made available through this site and the admin portal.

New image versions for the Raspberry Pi are published on the hardware page, including version number, date and checksum.

Offline gebruik

De Raspberry Pi versie kan bij tijdelijk wegvallen van het internet ook offline blijven werken.

De Android TV versie kan kortstondig ook offline werken, maar is afhankelijk van een stabieleinternetverbinding.
