TargaScore Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TargaScore (the App) handles data when you use the app on Android via the Google Play Store.

This content is not available in English yet. The Dutch version is shown instead.

Unofficial translation

This is a courtesy translation. The Dutch version is the authoritative text and is legally binding. If the two differ, the Dutch version applies.

1) Who are we?

Data controller: Targa Web en Print B.V., Uitgeest, the Netherlands

2) Which data does TargaScore process?

TargaScore processes as little data as possible.

The App processes:

  • Client code – entered by the user
  • Scoreboard code – entered by the user
  • Serial number – the serial or device number of your device

What the App does not store:

  • players' names
  • averages / playing strength
  • scoreboard content or match data

Player names and averages you enter while using the app are only used temporarily within the session (while the app is open) and are not stored permanently by TargaScore.

3) What do we use this data for?

We use the client code and scoreboard code solely to let the app connect to the correct scoreboard / the correct session.

We also use these codes to make the app convenient to use, by remembering them so you do not have to enter them again every time.

We do not use this data for advertising, profiling or analytics.

4) Storage on your device

The client code and scoreboard code are stored locally on your device (for example in local app storage) so that you only have to enter them once.

You can delete this data by clearing the app data in your Android settings, or by uninstalling the app.

5) Sharing data with third parties

We do not sell data.

We do not share data with advertising or analytics parties (there is no analytics in the app).

We may use technical service providers (for example hosting) to make the service work. They are only given access where this is necessary for delivery or maintenance, and where applicable under appropriate agreements.

6) Security

We take appropriate measures to protect data and connections, such as the use of secure connections (for example HTTPS) where applicable, and access restrictions and security measures on systems.

7) Retention periods

Client code / scoreboard code / serial number (local): these remain stored on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall the app.

Other scoreboard input (names/averages): not stored; only used temporarily during use.

If you live in the EU/EEA, we process the codes on the basis of the performance of the contract (making the app work and connect to the scoreboard) and our legitimate interest (ease of use by remembering the codes locally).

9) Your rights (EU/EEA)

Where the GDPR applies, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, objection and restriction of processing.

Because TargaScore does not store personal data in the app (other than the locally stored codes), many requests can in practice be carried out by clearing the app data.

10) Children

TargaScore is not specifically aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11) Admin Website (separate service)

There is a separate Admin Website that allows authorised administrators to operate a scoreboard remotely (for example via MQTT).

This Admin Website is not a standard part of TargaScore, is only available through a separate admin account that can be requested from our company, and is covered by its own privacy policy that applies to its use.

12) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy when the app or legislation changes. The most recent version is available at: https://targawebenprint.nl/targascore/privacy-policy(opens in a new window).

Still to be added to the official text

The Privacy Policy above concerns the TargaScore app. This website also processes some data of its own. The description below matches how the website is built, but has not yet been legally reviewed and is not yet part of the official Privacy Policy.

Contact form. If you use the contact form, the details you enter are processed in order to answer your message: name, organisation, email address, phone number if provided, subject, message, and the language in which you filled in the form.

Preventing misuse. When the form is submitted, your IP address is used temporarily to prevent the form from being misused for spam. It is not stored with your message.

Preferences. Your choice between light and dark mode is stored in your own browser. That data is not sent to the server and is not shared. The language follows from the URL; nothing is stored for it.

Logging in. If you sign in through the login page, your email address and password are only passed on to the management environment in order to sign you in; they are not stored and not logged. On a successful sign-in, two cookies are placed (directus_token and directus_refresh_token) on the targascore.nl domain. They are necessary to keep you signed in to the management environment; without them, signing in does not work. They expire on their own and you can delete them through your browser settings. Here too, your IP address is used temporarily to prevent misuse.

What does not happen. This website does not place tracking cookies, does not build visitor profiles and does not use advertising or analytics services. Videos are served from this website; if an external player is used, it is only loaded after you click it yourself.
